Nia is a well-being fitness and lifestyle practice. Through expressive movement - the Body's Way - Nia empowers people to achieve physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and well-being. Nia changes people's lives.

Nia blends a range of rhythmic music styles with carefully choreographed hour-long routines. It is the first and foremost 'fusion fitness' program of its kind, inspired by three art forms: The Dance Arts - Jazz, Modern, Duncan; The Healing Arts - Yoga, the work of Moshe Feldenkrais, The Alexander Technique; and The Martial Arts - Aikido, Tae Kwon Do, Tai Chi. WORKSHOPS AND SPECIAL CLASSES:

Special Healing Nia Class
The class will allow individuals, friends, families, and community members to come together to support each other in the process of healing physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. If you feel you or someone else you know needs additional support for healing in class, please let me know. This Special Healing Nia Class will be held on the last Saturday of each month. Bring a Guest for Free!

Freedom Through Movement (Fundraiser for Global Exchange)
At the end of May, certified White Belt Nia instructor Jenny Lumb began teaching Monday and Wednesday morning class at 9:30 am at The Dance Space. This month she is delighted to add Friday mornings to her regular schedule. Her first Friday class will be on the 4th of July and will focus on Freedom through Movement. In celebration of the generosity of spirit and abundance we enjoy here in the U.S., Jenny will donate your payment for class to Global Exchange, an human rights organization dedicated “to promoting social, economic, and environmental justice around the world.” See you on the 4th!
